Over 25 years and countless custom made dolls, Vicki Riley is now sharing her life long secrets on how to make her adorable soft-sculpture dolls. Two DVDs are being offered. One will show the viewer the “ins and outs” to making a Dinky Baby. The second DVD will show more advanced techniques, such as hair application and embroidered eyes.
Vicki Riley, mother of five and grandmother of three made her first doll for her only daughter well over 25 years ago. Riley wanted to make the perfect doll for her daughter, but could not find a pattern to suite her. She got busy and began to design her own doll, resulting in a house full of dolls.
Riley sold her dolls as custom made dolls in several sizes to countless stores in the Midwest. Her Dinky Babies are soft and child friendly. Child safety was of utmost importance to the doll maker. Never sharing her doll making secrets, Riley protected her patterns and her ideas.
After taking time away from her Dinky Babies, Riley is back with a new passion. Riley is offering other women the opportunity to be able to make a special doll for their daughters or granddaughters. Riley is not only offering two DVDs that contain her secrets that show her doll making skill, but she is now selling patterns to make her Dinky Babies.
She has designed over 14 patterns, ranging in size from a 4 inch doll to an 18 inch doll and more patterns are soon to be released, including a Ballerina that stands on toe and a poseable clown. Dinky Babies are a life long passion that came out of the love of wanting to make a special doll for her only daughter.
