This house was very easy to assemble and looks absolutely adorable. It took us about 1.5 hours to assemble (two people is a plus as there are many pieces). You just can't beat this value and quality with any other dollhouse. Our eight year old is going to LOVE this.

My husband was a little apprehensive about assembling the doll house based on other reviews, but he was pleasantly surprised. The directions were very clear and had good illustrations, the pre-drilled holes were lined up perfectly, the pieces were very durable, and the finished product was exceptional. One person can easily assemble this doll house in less than 2 hours with only a small phillips screwdriver.

Very pleased with this doll house. I wish I had it when I was young. Not too hard to assemble (about 2 hrs or so). Best value with the nice strong wood and decoration. We also have all the matching furniture and love it.

I bought this for my daughter who is a teenager and wants to collect miniatures. I did not want a kit that required painting and wallpapering and all that, so I bought this "kit". With a screwdriver, a hammer and about an hour and a half, she had a fully wallpapered, finished floored, tiled roof dollhouse that's solid and heavy (wood), and I got it for less than half of a kit for a similar house that I would have had to paint and paper. This thing goes together in a snap and it's beautiful.

I bought this house for my four year old daughter for Christmas. Initially I was a bit skeptical buying such a nice house for such a little girl and really went back and forth on this one and the Fisher Price Grand Family. I chose this one because it is so beautiful and I felt would be more useful to her in coming years. When I received the box, I'll admit I was a bit nervous about putting the house together but actually it came together beautifully. It took me about two and a half hours and only required a screwdriver. I'm pretty mechanically inept, so if I can put this together, anyone can!

It's true that it doesn't come with the family or furniture. I purchased the Melissa and Doug family to go along with this gift and my mother in law bought some furniture kits on-line and is putting them together hopefully in time for Christmas.

This is a really beautiful house and actually very sturdy, I don't even think my 19 month old son can demolish this one! It's also quite large and heavy, the pictures make it look much smaller than it actually is.

A couple of things I didn't know that I thought potential buyers might like to know. The box doesn't come plain, it's very visible what the item is when it ships so if it's a gift or surprise, keep that in mind to hide the box as soon as it's delivered.

You might want to have some wood glue on hand to secure the plastic pieces that go in the screw holes once the house is assembled.

Also there are no "window panes" (some doll houses come with thin pieces of plastic or transparent paper to serve as a pane), the windows are open, which is good for me because I was afraid my kids might break the panes but might be a turn off to some.

Overall, very pleased with the house and I can't wait to see her playing with it! I know she'll love it..what little girl wouldn't?
